Through this post I hope to help a few of you with ideas for some exciting dishes for your next Ramadan or even dishes that you can introduce as your evening snacks or dinners. I know how tough it can be to scramble around last minute in search of innovative meal ideas to please the family. Scroll down to glance through a few of the highlights of our 2022 Ramadan meals in this last month.
I have spent the last 30 days experimenting different dishes for iftar to bring a smile on my husband's face and leave him with a satisfied gut. Yes, it gets tough to manage this when you have an extremely adorable 1 year old who you can't seem to get enough of and a job that is high demanding in nature, but a wife's gotta do what a wife's gotta do! And after all the effort when you see an empty plate and a satisfied husband, it all feels worth it.
You are the best chef ever. You should think of starting your own restaurant!! –Husband
The best part about putting these dishes together is that most of it can be done in approximately 30 minutes. Preparation is key and a lot of good planning the day before. I make most meals post work, but prepare all ingredients the night before or early morning, and it gives me enough time to even make my son's dinner and take him out for a walk before the clock strikes 7:10pm SGT to break the fast. I also try and ensure we use leftovers to make food the next day as I hate wastage of any kind.
