Day 1 #stayhome #staysafe

I’ve been working from home for over 3 weeks now and I would invariably end up ordering in for lunch and make dinner at home, but since i’ll be home for another month (and not alone), I decided to ensure I wake up slightly early and have some proper home food prepared for the day. Staying at home can get us to start eating very unhealthy and we constantly binge eat, and thus, ensuring you have three proper meals is essential to control those sudden cravings.

For the next 30 days, I am challenging myself to ensure I manage to make all meals at home on the weekdays. This would entail a few early mornings for me, but all of us should learn how to maintain a healthy work-life harmony.

Breakfast:

The infamous social media trending #dalgonacoffee and french toast (not made by me). I had to experiment this coffee after seeing so many posts about it. To be honest, I’m not overly fond of it but at least one of the two of us enjoyed it. From the looks of it, I will be making this quite regularly for someone who has fallen in love with it!

Lunch:

Pav bhaji and some left over bhindi a.k.a lady fingers for a quick lunch break. You can follow the link below to revisit my pav bhaji recipe if you haven’t yet tried it out.

I made bhindi in bulk so that it lasts us till tomorrow. This is super simple and takes about 20 minutes to complete. Stay tuned this week for my bhindi recipe (I’m planning to cook two different types of bhindi and then share both the recipes together).

Dinner:

Our all-time favourite Calcutta style chicken rolls. Today’s chicken was extra juicy because of the lemon I used. All of us can spare at least an hour to put together a good meal and these super special chicken rolls take only 30 minutes to cook.

As you can see I used a few green chilies and onions as garnishing to my roll- you can use lemon and chili sauce if you like.
